Southampton on the rocks

With summer officially here and everyone thinking about that visit to the coast, now is a great time to kick-back, relax and take in some great live music.

With a line up of over 20 gigs and live music events in July alone, you can guarantee that the Southampton Joiners Arms is going to be one of the places to be this summer.

Gigs recently announced include ‘Primitai‘ who’s debut album “Through the Gates of Hell” was described as brutal, passionate, genuine, nerve-jangling and yet melodic. For lovers of pure rock, these guys are a must see. Other gig dates recently announced include Exile Arise‘, another great four piece Metal band that have a style which incorporates groove and blues. Last but not least are ‘The Metropolise‘, a four-piece Indie-Rock band based in Poole, Dorset who in under a year have gained a following with their inimitable style and infectious sense of humour. These guys are guaranteed to have any crowd dancing.

Stereophonics come to Folkestone

Ok, so Folkestone may not be that little or old as in the sense of old fashion but the Stereophonics, now that’s good news for any town.

In the spotlight for over 12 years now, these boys from Wales still have a massive following and are this year on tour with gigs at the Masstival Festival in Istanbul, Hong Kong’s Star Hall and last but not least, at the Leas Cliff Hall Folkestone.
